By learning the physiological, emotional and spiritual layers of the manipura chakra, practitioners discover a system designed to help direct the self into harmony.
Each energy centre interacts with different levels of the mind, body and spirit. Taking time to learn about the chakras’ functions, students enter into relationship with the complex nature of human being.
Discovering the Chakra System
The chakra system offers the mind and body a tool with which to communicate.
Manipura is the Sanskrit word for ‘lustrous gem’. The solar plexus chakra is the third main energy centre along the spine. While the second chakra brings awareness of our emotions, creativity and our sexuality, the solar plexus indicates our relationship to self esteem, will power and motivation.

‘What do I think about all the time? That’s where my energy is.’
Special Note About the Solar Plexus
The solar plexus holds the key to belief in the self and what one can and can not do. It is the most crucial energy centre to concentrate on to ensure our ability to create a happy, satisfying life.
As with the solar plexus chakra, all of the seven major chakras of the human body hold secrets of personal development. Understanding and utilising the system can help students overcome negativity and develop strong, vibrant and harmonic lives.
